Regular Dental Checkups
The best way to maintain good oral health is to visit your dentist every 6 months or as advised by your clinician depending on your risk factors. Detecting problems early allows the most conservative form of treatment to be used whilst also enabling a thorough professional clean. By the time you start to get symptoms, the cause has often progressed to an advanced stage.
Good Oral Hygiene
This includes using a fluoridated toothpaste, and brushing at least twice a day. Flossing daily is also imperative as plaque also builds up in between your teeth, which your toothbrush alone cannot remove. A mouthwash or topical paste may also be of benefit, though it is best to ask your My Dentist Network team member about which is best for you.
